About me

STOCK

All the work here is made solely by me, Raffaella - in east London, between my studio and my sofa at home. I work as a costume textile & breakdown artist for film & TV; using the weekends and time between jobs to create my work.

Due to the nature of my freelance work, my creative making ebbs and flows with the pace of my work life. My pieces are put up for sale periodically upon completion; they will not be released in 'drops' as I want people to purchase things they truly love, and not feel pressured to panic buy. I am always happy to discuss and create commissions throughout the year, but completion times may vary.

I create quilts of beauty from wastage fabric. Using wastage from the film industry - fabric that once covered screen printing tables, dye samples, scrap fabrics and some remnants & offcuts from independent makers. I don't want to create unnecessary items; I aim to sustainably create one of a kind pieces of art, masquerading as quilts.

My quilts are waste made beautiful; they are to keep people warm,

to hang on a wall  &  to be loved for a lifetime.
